Brooklyn lives in North Bay, Ontario with her family, after previously practicing in Timmins, Ontario. She became co-chair of Colloquium in 2019 after being a session leader of the Family Law Session in 2018.
Originally from Saskatchewan, Brooklyn came to Northeastern Ontario in 2016 and is proud to be an adopted northerner. She practices family law and recently began working for Legal Aid Ontario as family duty counsel. Outside of the office, she enjoys hiking with her family and her dog, swimming (floating) in the pool, and playing board games.
Graham has been a co-chair of Colloquium since 2017, and has previously served as a session leader and speaker beginning in 2015. By day, Graham serves as an Assistant Crown Attorney within the Ministry of the Attorney General, Criminal Law Division, in his community of Timmins, Ontario, and since 2012 has worked part-time as an Adjunct Professor for Osgoode Hall Law School, York University.
Prior to becoming a prosecutor in 2021, Graham practiced as a criminal defence lawyer for 9 years. Graham is a past member of the Criminal Lawyers’ Association, a past president of the Cochrane Law Association, and continues to be committed to continuing legal education and community-building within the legal profession. At home, Graham serves as a board vice-chair and director of the Timmins and District Hospital, and enjoys camping, canoeing, and skiing throughout Northeastern Ontario with his family.
Meaghan has been a co-chair of Colloquium since 2017. Her involvement started much earlier with her arrival at the firm of Miller Maki LLP in 2011, where one of Colloquium’s founders Justice Lucille Shaw, then practiced. Meaghan has done everything from create agendas and spread sheets, stuff envelopes, manage volunteers and been session leader before accepting to take on the position of co-chair.
When not doing Colloquium things (between November and January), Meaghan practices law in the areas of Insurance Defence, Real Estate and Wills & Estates. When not working, Meaghan enjoys organizing other legal events, social gatherings and playing a number of sports including but not limited to soccer, volleyball, tennis and biking.
