Peter Lillico

Peter is an Ontario lawyer in practice for over 40 years. He concentrates on the areas of estate planning, cottage succession, trusts, wills and estate administration.

Peter writes on various legal related topics for magazines and newspapers, including Cottage Life. His articles on estate planning topics have been published in The Estates, Trusts & Pensions Journal.

He is the principal author of Estate Planning Toolkit for Business Owners, published by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants in October 2009.

He has been a quoted resource on cottage issues for the Globe and Mail, National Post, Financial Post and Readers’ Digest, and has been featured on CBC Radio’s Fresh Air program informing listeners of about cottage succession tricks and traps.

Peter presents regularly to groups and organizations on Estate Planning topics, including such organizations as The Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association and the Peterborough Law Association.

He is also an annual Feature Presenter at the Spring and Fall Cottage Life Shows in Toronto. He was awarded “Awesome Man No. 3” in the Cottage Life Winter 2017/2018 30th Anniversary Issue, for writing or contributing to over 20 articles.

Peter is a past President of the Peterborough Law Association and the Peterborough Estate Planning Council, a Humanist Officiant and licensed by Explosives Canada as a Fireworks Display Supervisor.
