Milena Soczka

Milena Soczka (pronouns: any) received her BA in Philosophy from York University and JD from Queen’s University. After spending a few years overseas in London, England she travelled and lived in Southeast Asia to pursue her Divemaster Certification (Komodo, Indonesia). Upon returning to Canada, she resumed her legal career and articled with a firm in Haileybury, ON doing predominantly insurance defence. A Torontonian that fell in love with the North, she remained in the North and practiced family law, child protection and real estate in Sudbury, ON for a number of very happy years before accepting a role with Legal Aid Ontario in North Bay, ON where she resides to this day. Today she is the Manager of Legal Services for the North District, has guest lectured at Nipissing University in family law and presently teaches Criminal Law at Northern College. Lifelong member of the 2SLGBTQ+ community happy to call Northern Ontario home.
